The personification of holistic storytelling, Linda and Ross, because of their chaotic nature often find themselves in the middle of the stories of all kinds of worlds. That’s why they didn’t want to miss the famous story of saving Faerun from the game Baldur's Gate 3 behind.

They couldn’t just watch it from the sidelines but felt the sudden urge to interfire to protect the famous city of Baldur’s Gate and the sword coast from the soon to be launched attack from the cult of Bhaal. Because of their choices and action the strings of fate were damaged, leaving the vacuum of emptiness behind the crucial parts of the meta-story that was preparing to be told.
That emptiness was one of the Bhall’s spawns, The Dark Urge, that should have participated in their own line of events. But They got “deleted” because of carelessness from Ross and Linda’s side and that carelessness became the catalyst for the another force to begin working, feeling the emptiness of the void with the other mater. Mater that was took from the cause of that void before they left to explore other stories in other universes after they finished watching this one unfold. Like if we imagine the story of the game as a massive puzzle that needs to be solved, the unseen force saw a missing piece and made a new one from the energy that was left of the two beings. The mater was shaped and condensed into the Rees’, a little crazy and chaotic gem dragonborn.

She was put in the middle of the narrative, to the place that once belonged to the original Dark Urge, changing the memories of the world and living beings to replace Durge with her. And because Rees’ spontaneous appearance in this world, she doesn’t have any memories of past life so she is very easily put on the role of which the world placed her into. Thinking that, in fact, she is a Dark Urge and a Bhaal’s spawn.
