Born and raised in Bostad's calm middle-class district, Vera Korpquist has in her upbringing been very diligent when it comes to studying. As a strong introvert, Vera never spoke without being addressed first and usually locked herself in her room, spending most of her time reading books she borrowed from Stengatan's library every week. In her early teens, Vera found an old VHS tape that contained several episodes of a cartoon that caught her attention immediately when she saw a particular character with whom she connected to immediately. To get closer to that character, she started to dress the same but couldn't quite succeed considering that her body was the same color as the character's outfit so she had to make some changes.
As a young adult, Vera began to study dark magic and after several years of training in her inner sanctum, she managed to unlock powers similar to that of the character she idolize so much. She got the idea to use her powers to fight crime in her neighborhood at night that has gone noisier as of late and work as a mysterious psychic during the day. Both instances she is wearing her costume which made her locally known as The Mystic Raven and she herself expresses a silent happiness when a customer recognize it from somewhere.Artwork by
