went on a trip, got some nice photos, but I didn't realize the thing in the background till I got home...

STORY:

hurt, bashed, and broken, an odd creature wanders the high mountains and low valleys for a place to nest...
it settles in the abandoned mines once owned by a man named Charlie Cypher.
it lives there years on end, protecting and guarding the deepest reaches of the mines.
as the land changes owners year after year, it becomes the center of a small camp, called Cyphers Mines.
a tourist attraction, a mining town frozen in time for all to enjoy,
but the creature still guards her nest with passion, for her young must eat...

touring the mines, a young boy whose name was lost, ventures too far...
he discovers the mother has left to feed her young...
but her young have been long dead, stillborn in their eggs, surrounded by untouched meals and offerings,
but then the mother returns...
the boy, rest his soul, is now only another meal untouched by the rotten children.


now if you find yourself touring Cyphers mines, and you notice a missing number 6 on that counting board, just remember not to venture too far away from your group,
you might just meet The Mother.
