Yes, this is how I usually "act" like when the TV is enoughly loud and I hear something that usually depicts destruction, troubles, accidents and death.
By no means am I actually into snuff or deathphilia or such tragical stuff, but death in TV shows/movies/games/comics = entertaiment at my level of thinking. Not that actual accidents would be part of entertaiment, but take it like in this way:
"Most boring death is the gunshot-caused death, because it's been seen in TV every single fucking time".
This is how fiction and media gets into our minds - we love seeing fictional death.
.....Teen-horror movies sucks ass, by the way. Everything "Teen" -themed is godawful and you all know it.

There are some few exceptions... But most of actual horror movies doesn't scare me even a bit. And games? well, when I was younger, I used to be scared by games like silent hill, resident evil and fatal frame, but now, that dead space shit and even resident evil don't scareme anymore.
Not sure about the Dead Space games as I haven't played them, though I can tell that today's Resident Evil games somehow aren't brining that chilly feeling like back in the days. This is just going to show us all how back in the days people knew how to make scary stuff before producing it into a "fashion" and "revolutionizing" them all to suit the "awesomeness" we can do now.
yeah, exactly! people now only cares about nice graphics and powerful weapons. Though there are some companies that still trying to make their games with the old formula, like Konami. The bad thing is that this "old" formula doesn't attract many people nowadays, only a selected group of gamers (classic gamers and retro gamers)
AND DEATH!! NEVER FORGET THE GORE, THE BLOOD, THE FLESH, THE BONES, THE INTERNAL ORGANS, FLYING ALL AROUND AS YOU SEE HOW EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING SUFFERS BEFORE THE CAUSER OF THE DEATHS, WETHER IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, A SERIAL KILLER, A MASS MURDERER, A CELESTIAL ASSASSIN, AN ASSASSIN, A GROUP OF KILLERS, MONSTERS, VEHICLES OR THE SPY!
