XIIth C Templar shield
After starting this on January and having left to rot there, I managed to inish this.
I used 2 pieces of 5x700x700mm wood. I put them in the shower for about 5 hours or so, then on top of 2 pieces of wood and lots of weight in the middle. After a week, the wood was dry and perfectly curved.
Then I proceedeed fo glue 6 layers of cloth on the front, one per day and one final layer of cloth on the back.
Then I installed all the leather parts, as the cushion for the forearm and holding straps.
Finally, I painted it using acrylics, since they're the ost easy to find water based paint around (and the 250ml pots where quite cheap, surprising).
Hope you like. This picture will serve as a witness of how it looked while it's still whole, and the white is still white.
