That's because there are many real carnivorous animals with bodies designed to swallow quite large prey whole, or in large, unchewed chunks if to large to swallow in one piece. On the other hand, humans must chew their food into a paste for it to be safely swallow, and choke to death all the time for simply not chewing a bite of hot dog without chewing it. Humans swallowing anything whole bigger than a large marble is ridiculous. I've never understood how anyone can take same size, human on human vore seriously, whereas this is relatively commonplace in the animal kingdom.
