Lucas Gruff is mild-mannered, kind, and surprisingly submissive for a goat, one might even call him a bit of a pushover. He has fathered 3 kids who he loves very much, but his relationship with his wife is a bit more complicated. Even so, after a supernatural accident caused her to disappear he has been working near non-stop trying to find a way to get her back. While he is downright gifted when it comes to numbers, his true passion lies in the magical and occult, an interest he shares with his eldest daughter Lottie, (who is secretly his favorite child but he can’t say that out loud).

While he is grateful for the quiet life he has been able to lead so far, he still wishes he didn’t have to get married to a doe to have a family and children and to be accepted by society at large. Lucas often finds himself daydreaming about running away to be with his “pen pal” Frank who he has been conversing with through letters behind his wife’s back for years at this point.
