Original Species: Dja'halmon
The Djah'halmon is a large, predatory fish found in coastal waters all around the northern hemisphere. It typically swims slowly near the seafloor while looking for prey, such as smaller fish, seals, large invertebrates, or marine reptiles.
Exceeding 2 metric tons in mass and measuring more than 6 meters, this fish is a top-order predator by Earth standards. However, in a land of dragons, leviathans, and other giant sea creatures, it maintains the role of a more "average" carnivore.
Typically, it is comparably safe to swim around these fish as they prefer to hunt creatures closer to the water's surface. As long as divers keep a safe distance and remain close to the seafloor, the Djal'halmon are unlikely to view them as potential prey.
