When I watched Beastars, I immediately wanted to read the original manga. In the manga, I was particularly touched by Legoshi's memories of his mother, which overlapped with my own memories. That scene where he's child and brings his mom some dandelions to give her them through the door...
I wanted to paint a scene in which Legoshi is already an adult, he lives his life, but even on a sunny day he can catch a shadow of sadness when he sees dandelions by the road. I also drew him socks with dandelions, maybe it would remind him of his mother, which would be both a pleasant and sad memory.
