The Scaled Weasel

It stalks its prey in the Underrot, crawling and climbing on the petrified roots of the floating forest above. It's limbs can rotate in 360 degrees and can feel vibrations within the root network. Combining this with their incredible hearing they ambush their prey, biting down on the neck to crush the windpipe. Caravans wandering through the Underrot are told to travel in large numbers so they are perceived as a giant single organism to dissuade these predators from attacking
