I think this may be my first attempt at iridescence, of which about the only character thing I have that actually has that look is the Veethree. Been wanting to paint her for some time, but also really did not want to waste two of my more water-themed escapism images on her either. Frankly, while she looks intriguing, the color scheme, three necks and the trident for a headpiece are both a little too much for softer theme images (that and she honestly looks like a beetle). Figured that the best comprimise was to do what she does best, and that was playing with water.
This image was less of a layer pile than the other shower related image "Violation" was, partially because I spared myself the concept of a ground and went for a simple bust shot. How well the proportions are, they are probably bad since this was a pure CG drawing. Otherwise the hardest part was the iridescent look itself, of which I likely did not pull off so well. Either way, I am still happy to have more of a painted piece in my gallery (despite being still a quick image) than another more 2D, flat shaded picture.
