Heya everyone!
I’ve been an away for a while due to work, but I’ve been keeping up on my sketches and I’ve been working on some complicated forms. I think I finally landed on my dragoness sona, which maintains a lot of the core features of my Rona mare. All the while, it demonstrates a more dominate form. This doesn’t mean that I’m abandoning my mare sona, it just means that I’m trying to challenge and better represent myself. Anyways! I hope to write up some notes for you guys regarding my sketches to help any starting artists!

Really love how instantly you can connect it with your mare character through the posture and the eyes, and you did a beautiful job with the scales and the shift and shade of color through them. Really adore the detail in the face shape and those tough forearms and lower legs, the extra pineconeyness is super cool. Fantastic texture work and welcome back, hope things are treating you better and really looking forwards to seeing more art from you!
