My message to character owner:
Hi, Mako. I'm starting my artfight this year with an attack for you. Your black bird Scree from the underworld immediately caught my eye and I was flooded with my old thoughts.
When I saw this character, the old feelings that accompanied me over the past year woke up in me. Because of them I began to gravitate towards the dark shadowy figures in my artwork. And I wanted to make this black stork the embodiment of my difficult feelings.
Boredom, longing, constant pain in the background, severe anxiety, eternal wandering and the inability to find a place in this world. With these feelings I have lived over the past year. Yes, it's a pretty harsh experience.
I was improvising while I was making the art, and unexpectedly for myself I drew the bird wandering through the Nether from Minecraft. It seemed to me very appropriate for the emotions that were going through my hand. And I made Rubedo by Lena Raine the official song of this art.
Thank you for a chance I got to bring my hard feelings into the art form.
