EMD did only one 5 locomotive model powered by the emd 20-645e3 prime mover, the sd45, sdp45, sd45-2, sd45t-2 and sd45x but never made a 4 axle version of the 45 series of locomotive like the gp40 and gp50, so MARLEW did exactly did that, they did custom rebuild of the sdp45 and made it into a GP45PHI, which overall is a good commuter locomotive!
