Barely (not) in time for art fight I FINALLY made a species sheet for these guys!

The. uh. basic one that is. This is part of a HUGE worldbuilding project at least partially driven by my love for having a bunch of different but similar critters share a world (like fantasy ""races"" but. Actually a bit more detailed and nuanced), magic with science-y vibes and a lot of different cultures, customs and forms of government (or lack thereof) so even though there's a lot more to write I could absolutely not even begin to address that here.

Not entirely sure how the culture here is with own content species; if it's more leaning towards open/semi-open/close species or "look at this thing" worldbuilding but.
Basically this is a thing I made for my worldbuilding. I'm not gonna stop you from making fanart but I don't specifically intend for it to be a "make your own pet" kind of species.

FUN FACTS THAT YOU NEED NOT READ!

“Lifespan” in this case is not factoring in things like infant or childhood mortality or the effects of wars, plagues and other violent events. It’s also not taking into account the effects of magic.
It’s solely looking at “Everything going well and the person is not a mage(/elementalist), what is the time that dragons would die of issues associated with old age?”.

I'm trying to keep this as time-unspecific as possible since I technically focus on two broad sections of history (beginning of the industrial revolution in western Keehleh and the magitech space/interdimensional age) but also often think at least a little of the times inbetween.

The overlapping magic circle stuff at the bottom is the cannon(ish) way western Keehleh would represent the (major/common) elements.
You can ask me about them, but if you don't want to consider it a teaser because. When I said "There's a lot of worldbuilding" I was not kidding.

Two of the little background doodles actually feature my characters rather than random dragons I made up in the moment.

Colour choices:

Keehleh and Eyyre + Dedirye () colours were picked from major kinds of dye in the area (blues for Eyyre+Dedirye and purples for Keehleh… even fairly basic blues have been very expensive imported dyes in Keehleh for a very long time).

Niessawa was made a orange-yellow due to a vast part of it being a desert. I’m not sure yet what colour said desert will be (or indeed if it’ll be more sandy or more stone, rocks and such) but it feels appropriate.

Asiira and Goraleh were mostly picked that way to have a nice contrast between all the colours, but Asiira does have a lot of jungle and surprisingly little actual desert for being this continental and in the horse lattitudes and Goraleh is a newly formed collection of huge islands/continental shelf so blue is fitting.
