I scan the line art and apply color in photoshop using a number of 'multiply' layers.

This reminds me somewhat of some stuff I've seen in early (pre-80's) Heavy Metal magazines. Now THAT is a compliment!

No way, Heavy Metal? Really?

Absolutely! It's a few specific things that remind me of a few specific artists, and then the general feel. I like the long think lanky lines combined with a nice soft color. Most people tend heavily towards the eye-candy and can tire you. Those two "Banished" panels have a Bode'-like dark sense of humor. I don't know how many pre-80's HM's you can get your hands on but there's many greats to learn from there of course. Phillipe Drulet ate my brain!

I love it! when you first posted for banished I looked it up right away. Thanks to you I now have another webcomic to read. and I love what you've done for it. thinking about doing something for the fan art section.
