Once an inanimate metal sculpture, they caught the attention of a certain Fey, who subsequently wished them to life due to a resemblance to a lost love. But while they were perfect as a piece of art, as a living creature, they are flawed - they are not the real thing.

They don't understand what or why they are. They just know they were meant to Love.
