My boss is cool. He's never been mean or rude and is an all around nice guy.
But dadgum he's freaking intimidating. Maybe because he always seems SRS BIZNEZ. I stumble over myself and get jittery when he comes around.. (even if it's just to give me a ticket for a tree a customer is going to pay for) but I return to normal almost instantly when he goes off to do something else, lol.
So here, have a crap comic of my awkwardness around my boss, lol. I took NO TIME ON THIS. Thisss.. will get scrapped later.

Haha! At my old job, I'd suddenly seem to work franticly and much faster and she'd be like "Fer! (irl nickname) You're kickin butt! =D" and I'd be like "Yep >:/ -goes even faster-" and then she would always give me this like that was screaming "Oooookay then ._.;;" and walk away xD
...Now in my new job, I have so many bosses it isn't fun anymore x_x

Oh no, I've been where you've been. I had a boss who left the country and just shut down his place because he was wanted for murder. Found out he was an ex mob boss. He used to get super pissed at us and would yell and throw things too. The ONLY reason I wasn't intimidated (too much) by him is because I knew him for many years before working for him. But yeah, that dude had the WORST temper!
