Back in early 1920's or so, a doctor decided to do an experiment. she adopted a chimp and raised him as her own. His name was zippy. Very intelligent and very well known, he was even on david letterman at one point. He could dress himself, he knew sign language and several other things. Became a celebrity even for what he had done. dolls were sold and zippy(like the one dad has) toys are really rare now, at least the originals, they made more, but they weren't the high quality ones that are like daddy's zippy.
