Well, about a year ago I purchased a pair of welding goggles off of Amazon for around $12.00. I got them as a cosplay of Engineer from Team Fortress 2 for Motor City Comic Con.

I also had the intention of going steampunk with them, and here is one step of that.

I screwed off the rims and sanded them with 3M (whatever that mean) sandpaper then went over each rime possibly three times with some Rust-oleum all-surface- gold spray paint. I'd say they came out very nicely.

If I do anything else to them it will likely be covering the eye cups in black leather, as since I discovered a crack in one of the rims I don't know how long these might last.

Might also consider a leather strap, maybe some cogs, POSSIBLY a mini Gatling gun if I can find a place to get one, though if I can repair that crack in some way I will.
