Sometimes a good idea or even a good story is not enough if the script fails.

The Real reason chima got made was because Lego didn't had the rights to make Thundercats Lego sets at all, so that's why they made Chima in the first place.

Also another reason why chima failed was because it was released in the wrong year, in my opinion Both themes Ninjago and Chima season 1 should've came out in 2015 if I'm honest.

Oh I didn't know that. Also is very incredible Lego couldn't get some rights. Maybe they should try again. This is a very interesting information. :0

I understand Ninjago needed a break for a new season in development back then but.... Making Chima take over wasn't a good idea, that's why the theme failed because of that, Lego should've waited until the new Ninjago season was done and when both season for both shows we're made, they should've both realised The new Ninjago season and Chima s1 first episodes of both shows on the same day. Example, Chima first because it's new and then Ninjago afterwards, in my opinion this would've made more sense for Lego to realize the new theme chima itself so both fans of chima and Ninjago can catch up on both shows at the same time.
