"They are a rather delicate form of knowledge, you know. One Arcanist may read them one way, and another, in an entirely different way. The runes that comprise our living tomes are unreadable by other Arcanists -- it can be rather frustrating when trying to pursue knowledge in the field. However, our living tomes offer a wealth of knowledge unrestricted by the apparent size and pages that are contained within. Curious, they seem to hide knowledge that would bring us ruin, and guide our eyes into the fields of study we are keen on learning. Beneficent, in a way, for a creature of Daedric origins. Nonetheless it is welcomed, and it has been far too long since I have been able to practice runeform in the comfort of such a study."

They are such an interesting subject to study, and our living tomes seem to also be tailored to the individual Arcanist as well. While the Mage's Guild offers a more practical study of Magicka, and while I have enjoyed paging through their libraries across the lands, I've found that, when given proper time and preparation, Apocryphal texts are far superior in slaking the thirst for one's knowledge -- especially with a thirst like mine."
