This pic takes place in a universe "What if?", where it is shown what would have happened if Cerinia had never been destroyed, and if Krystal and Panther had never met or joined Star Fox and Star Wolf respectively.



For context:

Andross never destroyed Cerinia in this universe, either because when he was revived during "Farewall, Beloved Falco", he went straight to Sauria without anyone noticing or he just couldn't be revived. Because of that, Krystal continues to live on that planet with her parents Randorn and Kenya, and her older brother Sabre.

On the other hand, even if he had a dark and unknown past, Panther trying to leave all the mistakes he made behind and start a new life in a place that no one could find him ended up landing on the planet Cerinia, since it was up to there where his ship ended when it ran out of fuel. At first glance he seemed like a suitable place to live.

Being on that planet, Panther was found by Krystal who was the daughter of the leader of the tribe to which she belonged. It was a bit of a strange encounter as Krystal was out hunting and when she heard something moving in the bushes, the vixen swooped down on what she thought was prey and landed on top of the panther.

After that weird encounter and Panther mentioning to Krystal that he was homeless and alone, she took him to where her people lived. Seeing that it could be a quiet home and taking into account that the inhabitants were very curious about him and what was outside of Cerinia, he was accepted by the tribe, so he even had to change his clothes for one that suited him more. the one used by the other men of the tribe.

Panther learned very quickly from the customs of that planet and even became a very skilled hunter that even matched Randorn and Sabre who were the best in the tribe, for which he earned the respect of many. Even sometimes Panther and Sabre would compete to see who could bring the biggest prey, although they generally got along well, there was one thing that Sabre didn't like about Panther. And that had to do with Krystal.

As he grew accustomed to the tribe, Panther and Krystal began to fall in love with each other, and liked to spend a lot of time together. Kenya supported her daughter's relationship, since she saw her as very happy. Randorn wasn't that he didn't approve that, but he didn't want her daughter to grow up so fast. Sabre on the other hand didn't want Krystal to be with Panther, as her older brother, Sabre wanted Krystal to be with someone he truly knew was worthy of her. So he had a hard time accepting Panther in that aspect, but in the end he did.

When the time finally came, Panther and Krystal got married, and in their marriage they first had twins: A girl named Kitty and a boy named Nigel. And four years later they had another boy whom they called Leo.



At the time the events in the pic take place, the Carosos are a fairly happy family. The ages of the characters in this image are as follows:
Randorn is 65.
Kenya is 59.
Panther is 44.
Sabre is 38.
Krystal is 32.
Kitty and Nigel are 15.
Leo is 11.



Notes:

1- The fate of Panther's parents (Alador and Millie) is ambiguous, since Panther doesn't want to talk about it every time he is asked about it.

2- Due to the absence of Krystal in the Star Fox team, that position could be filled by Fara Phoenix, Miyu Lynx and/or Fay Spaniel.

3- Due to the absence of Krystal in Fox McCloud's romantic life, depending on whether he is gay or straight, he could be with Falco Lombardi or Wolf O'Donnell if he is gay or with Fara Phoenix or Katt Monroe if he is straight.

4- Because Panther isn't with the Star Wolf team, this only left with Wolf O'Donnell and Leon Powalski as the only members of it.
