Now, just take a deep breath, and gulp down that next draught, sure to be good for what ails you - d’oh! Nevermind… Looks like the swelling part of this one’s even worse than the last…!

Here’s a commission from a month or two back for the ever-lovely Bluey , featuring his human fellow getting nice and round on the red planet. This series is based off an old SEGA platformer called Escape from Mars, starring Taz from Looney Tunes, which has a good amount of shrinking and growing powerups inside, which served as a good inspiration for the idea. The backgrounds were a whole lot of fun to be sure, the vibrant color palettes were very nice to experiment with! Truth be told, I hadn’t really known about this game prior to working on this commission, but it looks like something that’s very much up my alley. I’d probably give it a spin if I could ever work and emulator haha - all that aside, a big thank you to Bluey for commissioning me for such a fun idea!
