Ice combat if pretty cool...no pun intended. I prefer making an ice shield myself, followed by ice throwing daggers.

except in the campaign I'm playing we're using homebrew that includes multiple shield types, which we rolled to randomly determine... so now this is a towershield of the Pariah

Though now… looking at the ice, I’m wondering if an Ice Druid can cast Armor of Agathys… would work nicely with that 2nd ability… (if DM allows…)

to be an ice druid we had to homebrew hard as is, adding extra ice spells to the spell list, changing certain spells to be cold damage, etc

I’ve been occasionally bothered by how few cold spells there is.

would be a cool method indeed, this case however is completely unarmoed, homebrew natural AC, the ice armor simply being armor of agathys and/or chill fire shield (because I refuse to believe the fire resistant cold damaging shield is still somehow made of fire)

I imagine the expression on the shield's face is inspired by the cold hand on it's handle.
