I’m really happy with this one hahaha! Wanted to have it posted for Fourth of July but I got busy with family so here you are for it today! I have been enjoying getting some art and whatnot of Lexi and wanted to toss Rose in here too because of course. They’re a team! But hopefully this art piece and my little writing tell ya that uh… these girls are true opposites. Lexi isn’t a complete stick in the mud but boy howdy does she not like the beach. Too much sun, too many people, she can barely swim and so much showing! So many people showing off their bodies and whether she covers up or joins in, it never feels right. She’s more content to just sit in the sand and do nothing.

On the flipside, Rose is a super outgoing and positive girl, loving attention and especially the beach. She’s a go with the flow kinda girl and just wants her friend to have some fun and enjoy the outside once in a while. Getting her to come to the beach AT ALL was a win. One day she’ll be in the water…

I always liked the vibe of these two. I’m a sucker for more emo and quiet characters befriending peppy and upbeat people. I had some friends like that. I especially love that Lexi - the dog - is antisocial and a loner when dogs are very communal and love people usually, and Rose - the cat - is super friendly and loving when cats are famously loner’s who will only come to you when they FEEL like it lol.

I hope everyone enjoys this cause it’s a super fun commission to get! Lexi got some curves on her. Goddamn. And Rosey’s cute face!
