That's what I call a footballer! ("Football" is the correct name for the sport; what Americans call "Football," I call "Rugby Light.") Wasn't sure if he might be a defender or attacker; if the latter, and he's headed toward the goal, he's a striker... and yeah, most goalies I know would quake at the sight! Great work.

Given how inconsistent the english language is I like the irony of calling a game where you use almost exclusively your hands/arms to control the ball football.

*chuckles* I apologize if this sounds like a flame; it's only a pet peeve of mine. I think it's time we acknowledge that English and American are two different languages, the latter a dialectic offshoot of the former. I prefer English; it's what I've studied for much of my life. It's different even down to parts of a car (hood = bonnet, trunk = boot, etc.), and pronunciation is all over the map (FOR-mid-a-ble vs for-MID-a-ble, etc.). And don't even ask about the looks I get when I use words like "fortnight" or weighing "12 stone 3."

Oh you don't have to explain football terms to me, I'm on the same side of the pond.
