From the Hardwood, to the Ring, back to the Hardwood

Many professional wrestling fans may remember "The Shocker" Steve Von Schnauzer as "Triple-S," a legend of the ring who has held almost every championship belt that the Furry Wrestling Federation had to offer. Some few might remember when he played guard for the University of West Burlington BlackHawks basketball from 1994-1999, where in 1999, they won their second-ever FCAA national championship. As his team showed in this year's FCAA tournament this past season, Von Schnauzer may not wrestle anymore, but his hunger for championships still flows deeply in his veins.
When asked why he decided to become a pro wrestler after college as opposed to playing in the FBA, he said, "As much as I enjoy basketball, pro wrestling has always been a huge love. Also I didn't just do it for myself, my brother Maynard needed talent for his recently-formed Furry Wrestling Federation back in 1999, so I trained for the ring and fell deeply in love with the business!"
As he loved the ring, the fans and fellow wrestlers had much love for Von Schnauzer as well, as in 2008 after retiring from the ring due to injuries, he was inducted into the Furry Wrestling Federation Hall of Fame. Many fans still believe that the University of West Burlington should retire his number 12, but coach Von Schnauzer has stated that, "While I was a good basketball player, it did very little to make me who I am other than getting me into good athletic shape, so I don't really care if they retire my number at all. After all, it wasn't basketball that made me famous at all, it was professional wrestling!"
When asked if he would ever return to the pro wrestling ring, he just simply said, "I would never rule it out, but right now my sights are set on giving the West Burlington BlackHawks another national championship."
