Finally! After so many years, I finally picked up watercolors! It's too hot right now to draw as usual - with pencils, and watercolor dries quickly in the heat, plus I have a ton of watercolor paper because I don't use it, so why not. I don't like to paint with this tool because watercolor is unpredictable and a mistake is almost impossible to correct, so I paint with it very rarelyХ( And this time I was disappointed: it seems this watercolor has gone bad, because the last layers(blue, purple, black) did not spread, it just remained on the paper-_- Is it worth buying new?0.0 Have you ever had this problem? And how did you solve it?
I tried to depict in this drawing all the layers of spiritual "opening": the first layer is the most material, the last is the most spiritual. Essentially, I depicted the chakras opening during meditation. This doggie is now enlightenedXD

Hahaha yeah that’s understandable! I find the unpredictable nature of watercolors fascinating. A mistake can easily be turned into texture or an eye catching detail, and I find myself leaning into that quite a bit when I work with watercolors! The frustration is almost part of the fun, and you can use so many different techniques!
I think your work is lovely, despite the infuriation of the process, you’ve made something wonderful that really spoke to me!
