I like to draw ordinary objects with unnatural colors but I don't draw it for beauty: for me in a drawing it is more important to depict personal experiences, feelings related to an object rather than the realistic appearance of the object; for me the personal feelings of the artist left to the object are always more important than to depict reality as it is, this is how objects reflect in the soul. There are even philosophical arguments about this like that the entire material world as we see it is not like that - material objects are filled with energy and each thing has its own energy and this energy is unique for any thing.
I often adhere to this artistic philosophy, which is why my drawings look strange:3

I love the avant-garde in general because it is full of meaning.
