So, before anyone starts to think I'm not doing anything lately, I decided to put up an update of what I am working on.

Before resuming my own work, I want to finish Slice's (This guy =>  sliceofdog) prize for winning my request contest. I promised him a picture done with the best my skills have to offer. Unfortunately, by the time he won my contest, my skills wouldn't produce anything better than what I already had in my gallery (not my best). I had been away from my art so long that my skills wen't back.

The reason why this picture is taking longer than it should is because I had to retrain myself again in order to come up with something really top class or at least better than what you already know. Also, I am always willing to try out new stuff with each piece I come up with. This time is no different!

For this one, I am experimenting with values - A technique the pros use to give a sense of depth to their work and make it at least 65% more amazing than normal. The technique consists in painting the whole image in grayscale. Instead of focusing on the colors, you focus on the shape of what you're painting. Above you can see a WIP where I've done only part of the highlights and it already look better than my normal. I can't wait to see how it will look like when finished! After all the values are applied, you colorize it with blending modes (instead of painting the colors). The result is amazing, I just hope I'll be able to pull it out.
