Yay for your character's olde design ! He looks absolutely aborable wherever you put him, and still reminds me of Tove Jansson's Sniff, although having a strikingly different personality.
As for the picture - I like it's depth,
those two chattering in front of a "camera" contributing a lot to the multy-level impression it presents.
All in all, it's very very groovy picture.
Besides, I still can't figure out how anyone can abuse sepia as much as you do and still make it work for every drawing without making them look the same.
