Ultraviolet aka Asha Hira
So this is the first of three character sheets for Ultraviolet.
Yes, I have FINALLY drawn a character sheet for her. You'd think having her as my main personal character (and most well known) that I would of done this sheet much earlier, instead of waiting 7-8 years before actually doing it XD
For those who arn't too familiar with her, she is a hybrid of flying fox (fruit bat) and heraldic unicorn. Her species is known as the Ukimori.
She was the first successful Ukimori/creation by Dr. Hira. Of the six Ukimori that were eventualy created, she is the only female. She grew up with the scientist treating her more like a daughter than an experiment, her needs always came first for him.
She grew up along side, and was taught by the Solarian elves of Mikobi-Rhin. Which is why she has such reverence and connection with nature and her magic is all very nature-based. Bast way i can explain her magic, is ff she were a WoW character, she'd be a druid. XD
She often wears black and white stripy tights, chokers, goggles, corsets, and long faux fur coats. The way her sense of dress can be best described as a dark or rock n' roll gypsy. XD
Her personality is very bright, flirty, curious and playful. She loves life despite some of the hardships she has endured. She is not at all shy about getting what she wants and won't let anything get in her way and can be a bit of a diva at times. But she is genuine, honest, and true to those she loves and would fiercely protect them. She also feels adamantly in tune with nature and uses her innate magical abilities mostly for helping heal, care for, and protect the natural places and creatures of Shi'Imora.
She has an obvious weak spot for fruit, honey, alcohol, curvy women, dragons, and pretty-boiz.

some how the small differences between a 'modern' unicorn and a heraldic unicorn makes all the diffence. i mean, i like modern unicorns but Ive always liked the distinction of the heraldic unicorn for not looking like a horse with a horn stuck on XD

Ahhh, I so agree with that.>_> I mean, unicorns were created in the 15th or so century, sooo what's up with simply adding a horn to a horse? Unicorns were most likely mistaken for this creature (and vice versa) anyway:http://www.unesco.org/delegates/oman/oryx.jpg (I mean, look at the characteristics of it..) But that's just my two cents. ^^; I feel strongly about this because one of my spirit guides is the unicorn.
I haven't been watching you forever, unlike some here, but I must mimic their coments. Your art is entirely lovely, as is your character. She has such an awesoem look to her, very virbrant and unqiue without being over-the-top. And she has a delicious looking shapelyness about her.
Looking back over those hooves are awesome. They're subtle enough to not be going 'hey, look, freakish hooves here!', but on closer inspection they just make you go 'wow, that's cool.'
So, yeah, pardon my rambling and I just gotta say your character is totally made of win.

I didn't know that about the pearly horn/hooves/claws, sooo pretty! And I love the colors in her wings and the swirlies in her hooves! (I'm so glad you kept those!) I also really love the shape you gave her (Real curves YAY!) Of course you know I couldn't EVER swoon over her/you enough ;)
And just curious, do you have those hair baubles? I'm tempted to make them for you if you don't. I still need to get around to photographing some of my jewelry since you still have yet to see any don't I?

yep her horns always meant to been iridecent, ive just not been to great at depicting that XD

I don't have any pictures of the jewelry that I've already sold (they got wiped when my hard drive died last year) and I haven't made much since then, but as soon as I get back to it (I've been getting inspired again lately so probably soon) you'll be the frist person I show okay.

anyways, I associate a lot with this character - mainly since it is your own - and Im really happy to see a sheet like this. UV is my 2nd favourite char of yours, second only to you know who ;) - but there is probably none of my friends who is so special to me in the very way you are

You are just awesome with the awesome, you know that?
UV is gorgeous as always and I like how you utilized the standard front and side shot to also show a dressed-down and, for lack of a more fitting word, dressed-up version, in the sense of the tights, long loincloth, painted claws, and an example of nature magic. Both the UV images came out beautifully and much like the new Nikoli ref sheet, I feel these were presented in a clear, concise way and visually awesome on the eyes.
Exquisite work on this UV, but I do have a question if you don’t mind me asking. I couldn’t help but notice the lack of nipples (strictly from an observational basis, I swear!) and was wondering if that is a change to her design or a “oh right I forgot to add that”?

Ultraviolet-mistress has always been (well, since I saw her the first time that is) a big L O V E to me.
I think it's in the mix of a dominant and "dangerous"-looking gothic/cyber appearance, which hides a curious, playful and (little) naughty personality inside.
(The snakey is very late in his submissions, but tries to catch up :P)
