Dryad - Opalescent chestnut
Dryads are creatures linked to nature, mainly flora. They are, of course, more common in environments with lots of vegetation, such as jungles or forests, but they can also be found in desert environments. Their characteristics then vary. Instead of tender leaves, they are more like succulents, assets similar to cacti or plants found in the tundras and steppes, looking parched yet healthy.
Natural dryads are born from particularly old plants : an oak tree reaching its first centenary, for example, will give birth to a young dryad. Bound to the tree of her birth, she often wears its leaves, roots, branches and fruit, and can rarely leave it. From then on, the area around the tree of her birth becomes a sanctuary that she jealously guards. Places filled with magic can enable certain plant species to increase their longevity, hence the appearance of dryads from more common, less resistant plants such as ferns.
On the other hand, via opalescent chestnuts, alchemical ingredients infused with the essence of a dryad, consumers will gain random plant characteristics, sometimes mixing assets from different species. Nevertheless, the consumer's environment plays a significant role : ingesting a chestnut in the middle of the desert will not give the same result as in an Amazonian forest.
As you can see, this specimen is a magnolia dryad.

Opalescent chestnuts are alchemical ingredients created from scratch from the essence of a dryad, as partially mentioned above. These dried fruits are therefore native to the Manor. The original plant can be found in the gardens. The dryad who agreed to lend her essence asked to leave with the first fruits to share with her comrades. I did not follow up on this exchange of courtesies.
