What is it with these felines?

Pride is big with at least one group.

So it seems.

They are a catty bunch.

Uh huh. The canines and foxes seem to be the more peaceful in the story, this part of it atleast. But why are these cats so aggressive and possibly ignorant?

Pride for the most part and a long-standing grudge with Canines.

Why the grudge though? Is there anything that happened in their past?

Yeah, the two had been at war since their first contact. They had an uneasy truce then the Alliance was formed and both parties have stayed relatively civil but there's still a lot of grudges.

Oh, ok. Then i'm curious as to how the two would think about my own alien civilization called the Owiniman Federal Republic which is a nation of mostly canines but is also home to hyenas, foxes and even humans. It is a very democratic and capitalistic type nation that hold no grudges toward their former enemies, none include felines though. Their Space Force consist of officers from their homeworld, colonies as well as other nations which has decided to integrate with their nation and have done so for various different reasons like better trade, cooperation, defense and more. The Owinimans does not discriminate against other species or cultures, they are a peaceful kind who love to explore and meet new races and they prefer to trade rather than do war so they are not at all a hostile nation.
