this is a 1984 el Camino that i picked up from a local guy for 700 bucks. it is in gray primer and needs lots of body work but mechanically it is great. it has close to 270,000 miles on it but has a new motor and transmission. if you would like to see more about this truck check out my car domain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2655467 and please comment

Reminds me of a 1977 Fiat Spider I was looking at. 44,000 miles, 5 speed manual tranny, all it needed was paint, and a rear window for $750. I can't believe I passed it up :( I think I was afraid of the tranny being so old and with only light use it probably sat for awhile and anything could happen at that point. Before you know it a $750 car becomes a $5000 car and it still looks the same :p
The strange thing about the el-Camino is that when it came out I didn't like them at all. I was crazy about the 68 Dodge Charger and the Chevy-II. But now, when I see people driving around in re-built and restored el-Camino's, I'm envious as hell!!! I'll be lookin' forward to seeing this project finished!!
