Now this is much less serious character and probably one I won't revisit any time soon. Phryne was created as a gag for D&D oneshots, a general parody of the "sexy goblin" trope so common in modern indie fantasy. Her token starts of the joke right away with her boobs sticking out of the border, and from there I typically roleplay her as a character who speaks entirely in double entendres while understanding literally nothing about what's going on. She's fun, and she always gets a lot of laughs, and I'm always sort of impressed with how much communication you can manage when only speaking in sex jokes. I'd certainly like to play her again some day, and might definitely draw her again too, but really I'm still satisfied with this picture for fully bringing across the joke while also being pretty cute.
As for lore: She grew up in a convent to a god of fertility and pleasure, eventually becoming a cleric. She internalized the teachings wholeheartedly, but is a bit too much of a ditz to understand the purpose of them. Once she was old enough she was told by her convent that she had to go on a long journey to "complete her training", and very deliberately was not given a map or told how to get back. To date, every part she's hooked up with has tried to get rid of her in increasingly comical ways. That would make most people depressed, and they might start questioning why this keeps happening, but not Phryne. To her, everyone is a nice person who she can be friends with, and it's so weird that she keeps getting separated from her friends. (This is a long-winded explanation of why she can appear in any oneshot regardless of how the last one she was in ended.)
