The blueprints for Åsmund's pride and joy, The Stormcutter. A bespoke airship that he designed, funded, and assisted in the construction of. It's the first of its class. About the size of a caravel, it's distinguished by three main features: First, it's built for speed. The steering fans, reinforced hull, and enormous rear engine mean that it can move at speeds and make turns that would tear other airships to pieces. Second, the Magnajet Propulsion drive means that the Stormcutter doesn't have to rely on wind-power alone, being the very first self-propelled airship. Of course, such a power can't be used for lengthy periods, but its already sleek and speedy design means it will outpace any other airship even under wind power alone. Finally, there's the hull-mounted blades for which it gets its name. Not only do they make steering easier, allowing for the aforementioned sharp turns, they're also made of the finest Carnelian brass with reinforced mithril cores. At full speed, the Stormcutter can bank low and scythe clean through just about anything weaker than solid rock. Wood, steel, and bone have no hope against this attack, but it's still risky and damage to the superstructure is inevitable. For that reason, the ship has been mounted with two forward cannons built directly into the bow, rather than the traditional side-mounted guns, complimenting its aggressive, head-on attack method.
