... I originally was going to title this something slightly more befitting for what's going on in the image, such as simply calling it "armour thief", but I couldn't pass on the opportunity to make it alliterative, heh.

To be blatantly honest here, I've been pretty despondent and devoid of energy as of late while fretting over the health of one of my beloved feline companions who has been with me the majority of my life, and was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease early this year in March. She hasn't been exhibiting any hugely debilitating symptoms and is behaving completely like her normal self, but every opportunity I take moments to entertain myself a or otherwise spend time away from her, I just... feel like I'm misusing my limited time with her. But I've been attempting to get into a more positive mindset lately, and now I'm finally uploading the conclusion to the seasonal sequence that I've been posting to my profile's gallery for like... probably over a year now.

This is essentially just an alternate version of the final image in the sequence with the belly being absent, although unlike the previous alt for this series of events I submitted, I suppose this one could also count as being the fifth installment since it would theoretically take place after the spring illustration. As always, it was illustrated by  PriestofJashin, and commissioned by  randomguy16, and the inspiration for this variant was once again the latter's idea. He thought it would be neat to see a version without the belly where August was also wearing more of Cederic's armour than he was before, which I agreed with because I thought the concept was cute!

So here we have August, who has since gone through the process of releasing Cederic aftering letting the kobold/wolf paladin hibernate inside the depths of his accommodating belly over the course of almost an entire year, watching the seasons go by as he did so. As such, he isn't sporting such a hefty gut between his legs anymore. But while he was willing to part with Cederic himself, he's a bit more reluctant to get rid of his friend's armour! After all, it's surprisingly comfortable and lightweight, and not to mention fashionable! I'm sure August will give it back eventually.
