They do have normal human faces under them. (in case someone might wonder)
Even though they are a sub-species of a meerkat-like race, they have a more canine appearance
Their canine self is based on the Crested dogs. (Except they only have fur on their tails)
The "ears" on their mask are just for a cosmetic reason and serve no real function.
The masks are also made of a light material and wrap around the head. (like a ninja)
Like the Curis'i (Mk). They may also wear masks based on their species. In this case, a dog.
Unlike normal canines. They have 3 main claws on their feet and one dew claw. (this is due to their Curis¹ heritage)
It was discovered that in rare cases, some of them can become more canine-like as they age.
