Depends! The original concept of BFG, as quoted by Tom Hall (Designer for DooM) is "Big Fucking Gun"
In the DooM 2 manual it was labeled as "The Big Fragging Gun"
In the DooM movie, it's "Bio-Force Gun" though, when finally acquired, it's said "That's the Big Fucking Gun."
and in the Quake 2 Manual it stands for "Big, uh, Freakin' Gun"

Depends on the referance. Generally BFG stands for Big Fucking Gun, as per the unofficial name of the "BFG" weapon from the original Doom. ID software admited this is what it ment, but in later games had to give the abreviation another, more scientific, meaning to get past the censors.
When refering to the nVidia series of gaming cards, BFG stands for Big Fucking Gamer, a sort of off color joke on the long standing doom abreviation.
