While his are much more authentic and realistic, this was something I played with and completed in just a couple of hours, just for fun.

Basically, I used a small candle to gently heat the plastic to bend it into shape. The hardest part was fitting the parts together. I did the same with the tire, carefully using a razor to slash the side wall and again heating it to flatten it. The tailgate is in the bed.

Now, this obviously shows that I didn't take much time to do, but I won second place at a show because the judges said that it was unique and told a story, you could tell the tire blew out and it rolled over on the driver's side, twisting the frame. I suppose it's not totally accurate, but I did make it up without looking at any pics :P

I can't remember the specific method I used to get the dust, something like a mix of sand with a lot of dust and some baby powder to make it stick
