Bio:
A unique species of an unknown origin (at this time)
These two are the only known variants: "Ferret-like" (Forest), and "Maned" (Savanna)
Both Forest and Savanna are the only known species that are currently being studied.
Differences between species (so far):
Savanna's species has a longer mane that reaches down their backs, rounder ears, and longer and thicker fur on the tail (which looks like scales but is not)
Forest's species has short but darker hair. Dark "mask". Long but separate fur runs down the back and to the tail. dark tail tip (Except for Forest himself. See notes for a reason)

Notes:
(Update 2024): The character, formerly known as "Mirage"*, has been split into two species variants and characters.
Within both species, only two roles have been observed: "digger" and "sentry"
Their dark brown paws make them appear as if they're muddy
While it might look like a cut, the "dent" in the ears is just that. (except for Forest, his left ear does have a cut due to getting into trouble)
The species tend to have characteristics similar to meerkats and ferrets. Although one might be more obvious than the other (Savanna: Meerkat/Forest: Ferret)
Their species might even have some scars, which could be due to fighting rival clans
Suppose a rival clan does prove to be a threat. Nearly all will fight them off resulting in sad scars. (both species)
While it can't be seen well (my fault), they have 4 digits on all limbs. (Upper arms have thumbs, however)
Forest's tail being the way it is was due to getting caught in a trap which caused him to have his tail-tip exposed. (Otherwise, it would look like the normal example)
