This is just wonderful to see with your play with the colors and details presented here in the background and foreground on the bottom panel, especially with the little "Behir eye" after the two of them fused together! Loving your amazing comics and I'm hyped for more down the road! Keep doing great!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH the magical fusion, the glowing eyes, transformation of self and soul and essence this is why I love and live magical and technological transformations in narratives! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Man this would've made for a hell of a cool campaign story! <.< now I just need to survive Drakkenheim.
Yeah. Having the power of a soul suddenly break free inside your chest certainly does a LOT of damage. And seeing as the eyes are the "windows of the soul", having a bomb go off "in the house" as it were, just blew those windows right out of the house.
I'm going to guess that she had a Death Ward spell tied in with a Contingency spell, so that if she took lethal damage, she'd be brought back to 1 HP.
Regardless, this story has been such an incredible ride, and even though it's winding down, I'm here for every last moment of it. Also, I adore the fact that Medea is sitting there with a book. It's such a very sensible thing to do when you're waiting on someone to wake up.
Thank you so much for all your hard work!

So what happened to her arm, then? I've noticed the bandages (all-cloth prosthetic?) being in certain pictures and not others, so it seems like you have a timeline in mind.
Also, most of those spells are divine in nature rather than arcane, and there seems to be a bit of distaste for the pantheon and their clergy going on here. Did she just flat reject healing for it, or did the arm get cursed off by something pretty hardcore?

Her arm got burnt off from handholding with a goddess. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56200478/
It's not directly related to this comic, and inspired by some RL issues we're dealing with. It's a permanent change to my character's design. In-story, we'd say it's truly permanent damage due to the source, that an injury inflicted by a deity is going to be more significant than one inflicted by mortal weapons. If she grew it back, the new arm would be lifeless, without feeling.
It's included in this comic to show the timeskip between page 23 and 24! I had already started the comic when I decided to make the design change, so I had to wait for the right moment to switch within the comic.
