I can answer this one. No, the U.S. Military has no rules against taking "glory photos" and actually promotes the doing of such as it's good for morale. Anything with a "human" war trophy such as a corpse, or a body part is against regulations as it's degrading to the service to be associated with wanton (mmmm wontons..) disregard for the sanctity of human life.
So it means he can kill the fuck outta bad guys, but he can't pose with their dessicated remains.
Gun photos are A-OK though.
