The gem is the exact same as one I own in person. A garnet! I'm planning to set it into a ring that I might cast from wax in the future. The carving for it was made ages ago. I just don't feel like I want to make the personal investment just yet since I want it in a gold alloy. Gold is crazy expensive nowadays. Funnily enough jewelry is something I rarely wear person, even if I'm a goldsmith, so it'd be great when I actually do get down to it and have something I really like.
