I take offense to that comment. It's Autistic, not autismal, anyways.

And, being an Aspie (Someone with Asperger's Syndrome), I'm, technically speaking, very mildly autistic. It's a good thing. I may be socially retarded (To a degree. I can pass as 'normal' if I make an effort ) , but I can easily grasp concepts that most of my family members can't.

It's offensive to say that being autistic is a bad thing. Sure, it must be frustrating for those who have more severe forms (E.G, varieties where they can't speak at all, etc.), but it's more of a gift than a curse.

I really don't know how to respond. I've literally sat at my computer for 15 minutes trying to think of something. Basically, I wasn't trying to offend anyone. The picture (and ones like it, showing a picture behind with obviously misspelled insults superimposed) is one that's popular on sites such as 4chan, and I posted it not because I was specifically calling out autistic people, but rather because of the wording in the image in comparison to Freehaven's post: "____ as fuck". And I find the juxtaposition of offensive insults to ridiculous misspellings to be pretty funny, as it's a form of self-parody on the part of the poster of it.

I'm sorry that you took offense to it, and if you want me to I can hide the comment.
