I love this doily. It actually has a backstory that ended with me getting confirmed in the Catholic Church in 2020. I'll tell that story another time. I'd like to crochet this one again in a different color, but I want to specifically reblock it. I'm still not the best at blocking doilies, but my tension has gotten better since 2020.

For the uninitiated blocking is when a crochet or knitted piece is made wet, either with water or steam, and pinned into its shape so when it dries it retains its shape. Some people who crochet doilies will add starch so it stays firm, but I prefer to not do that.
