As a foster child growing up, the word family had no meaning to me. It was a terrible time, but as I got older I realized something. Family is more than just flesh and blood. Family can be your friends or anybody who cares about you enough to step in when you’re suffering. Having someone in your life like that is a blessing. Please cherish the people closest to you. We never know when our time is up.
