Another image from the hard drive. This is an illustration from the ongoing fanfic series about Chaos, a thoroughly confused human who was turned into a gargoyle against his will. He winds up being accepted into a gargoyle clan, in-spite of the fact that he insists that he's NOT a gargoyle. They think he's delusional but patiently try to help him adjust. He winds up in a love/hate relationship with Gadget and as seen here, things are definitely headed in the right direction.

Originally when I was planning, and writing out their story line, the idea was that Chaos would finally admit his love for Gadget by sharing a kiss. In this case, he had just finished exercising, and was walking by a room where he heard Gadget crying. One of her sister's decided that they didn't want her to be happy, so they rigged up something to dump a number of peacock feathers onto to Gadget. Yes, she had chosen Peacock as her name as a hatchling, but changed it later to something that suited her better.

The feathers were supposed to bring back some painful memories, and to an extent, makes her think that she's isn't all that good looking. Chaos despite being slow on his feelings for her, tells her quite the opposite (to him, anybody who thinks she is ugly is a massive idiot). So the two finally get their act together.


Try as I might, I could not get the chapter to work. The two of them, and I ended up butting heads. I would wait a bit, and then try to revisit the chapter to make any sort of progress, but nothing would work. Fast forward years, and I got a picture of the two touching beaks in the rain ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/6626176/ ). Once that happened, the two very much pointed to that as where their mutual attraction starts to reach the surface. And how they wanted to finally come to realize, and express their love for one another. Lots more headbutting followed.

I got did get periodically hounded to try to write it out, but over time, I realized it no fit longer fit their blossoming relationship. It wasn't them, and it didn't work.
